All That Glitters…Challenge #112 @ Drunken Stampers

I did it again……slipped in a card for the Flirtini Challenge week, I hope they don’ t mind. First I did think the last challenge of 2012 was a combined one, second I love glitter and couldn’t let it go by without making a card with lots of GLITTER. So if you didn’t arrive here from the Drunken Stampers blog head over there and check out what you need to do to join in the glittery mess I got into. Just click HERE,
Here is what I came up with for some inspiration to get that glitter out and create.
I used my brand new Nellie for the oval, it was fun poking all the little cuts out of it too. Although you cannot tell the image is covered in cool tone Ritz Glitter. The inside of the card is posted below.
I used the silver glitter piece that was cut from what I used for the frame. The sentiment was sitting finished in my box of bits.
What I used
Stamp Thomas Kinkade Silent Night
Nellie Ovals Spellbinder ovals
Ink Brilliance Sky Blue pearlescent
Cardstock….GP White, Pacific Point
Glitter cardstock from the dollar store.
Sentiment ….not sure of what company
Snowflakes…EK mini punch
Thanks for stopping by today and come back again soon.

It is still Christmas at Clear it Out…….

I checked it out today and there is still 4 days to get a project in for the draws at Clear it Out, check it out for yourself HERE.
At the Stampin’up Hostess group this month we made some awesome cards, one of them I wanted to “case” but the only thing I had was the Very Vanilla cardstock, so putting my thinking cap on I used gold ink instead of crumb cake, I used a different set of snowflakes, but my big problem was the gold glitter cardstock and the lace. Last year I bought the white glitter cardstock from SU so I cut strips of it and punched the scallop border, then took a bic marker in beige and coloured the glitter cardstock,  I know there is some ivory cotton lace somewhere in my stash but just couldn’t find it in a hurry so went and bought some that Fabricland was clearing out for 25 cents a yard.
This is the card that I made, the card I cased is below.
I like the way mine turned out and the recipient was very pleased with it too.
Thanks for looking today and check back again soon, I am hoping to have more time in 2013 to update my blog more often.
I am entering my card in the December Christmas challenge at Clear it Out Tuesday.

Clear it Out & Saturated Canary for all of December!!!

December is going to be a fabulous month for Clear it Out, All the design team is going to inspire you to join us for the challenge, the theme is  Christmas and  the stash item is “anything goes” so dig out anything from your stash and use it. Saturated Canary is our sponsors for the month long challenge you can have a look at the digis they have to offer by clicking HERE.
For my card I used  “Stockings” digi from our sponsor, Saturated Canary. I was in a whimsical mood when started making my card and decided on non-traditional colours, using pink and green and the paper I found in my stash was perfect. I coloured with prisma pencils and blended with odourless mineral spirits. Cut with my oval nesties and added pretty in pink ribbon with a small sentiment.
This is what I used:
Image….Stockings from Saturated Canary
Sentiment…..from Stampin’ up
Cardstock…..Pretty in Pink, GP white
DSP ……SU Christmas either 2010 or 2011
Ribbon…..pretty in pink SU
Thanks for stopping by today and stop by Clear it Out for more information on joining in the fun.
